The game also includes several human characters, some of whom date back to Generation 1, the original Transformers toy line and television show. Playable Autobots include Hot Rod, Ironhide, Sunstreaker, Windblade, Ratchet, Starscream, Soundwave, Slipstream, Shockwave, and Bumblebee, the titular “reactivated” Transformer. Transformers: Reactivate features many familiar characters from the Transformers universe as well as new ones introduced who debut in the game. Set in a post-apocalyptic world ruled by The Legion, described as “ the greatest threat the Autobots have ever faced”, humanity has turned to the Transformers to reclaim Earth as we know it with the help of a newly reactivated Transformer.Īs suggested in the game’s cutscenes, the story could also involve the Autobots teaming up with the Decepticons – the main antagonists in the Transformers universe – to defeat The Legion with the help of remnant humans.
